February 19, 2014 By Richie 3 Comments

If you need to disable or enable JavaScript in Opera web browser, I will show you how in this guide.

Watch the video above or follow the text guide below.

Enable or disable JavaScript in Opera

  1. Open Opera
  2. Click on the Opera Button Opera Button at the top-left of the app window
  3. Click on the Settings menu item
  4. Click on the Websites item on the left window pane
  5. Under the JavaScript heading, you will see two options:
  6. To enable JavaScript: select the Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended) option
  7. To disable JavaScript: select the Do not allow any site to run JavaScript option
  8. You can also make exception rules, for instance:
  9. If you allow all sites to run JavaScript, you can make exceptions to disallow badsite.com
  10. If you disallow all sites from running JavaScript, you can make exceptions to allow goodsite.com
  11. When finished selecting your options, close the Settings window and restart Opera
  12. Visit: whatismyipaddress.ricmedia.com to confirm your current JavaScript status

Is there a short link – enable / disable JS at the current web page? Opera <= Version 12 has it had.

Howdy, mmm not that I am aware of, but there is an extension that may do the job here: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/control-freak/?display=en so perhaps try that out and see how you go. cheers! Richie
