Today I will show you how to clear your browsing history, cookies and data from Apple Safari web browser on your Windows machine, along with some important tips to make sure you keep your Top Site data.

Clear browsing history, cookies & data in Safari (WIN)

  1. Open Safari
  2. Click on Settings icon Safari Tools button top-right of your browser window
  3. Click on the Preferences… menu item
  4. Click on the Privacy icon
  5. Click on the Remove All Website Data… button, then click the Remove Now button
  6. Close the Preferences window
  7. Restart Safari (not necessary but I do recommend it)
  8. You’re all done!

Delete history in Safari (MAC)

Clear browsing history, cookies & data in Safari (MAC)

  1. Open Safari
  2. Click on History from the top menu-bar
  3. Click on the Clear History menu item
  4. Leave the Also reset Top Sites check box un-checked unless you specifically require that data are destroyed
  5. Click the Clear button
  6. Restart Safari (not necessary but I do recommend it)
  7. You’re all done!

Delete history in Opera

Clear browsing history, cookies & data in Opera

  1. Open Opera
  2. Click the Opera button Opera settings button top-left of the browser window
  3. Mouse-over the More tools menu item, then click Clear browsing data
  4. Choose from when you would like items be deleted (beginning of time recommended)
  5. Check all boxes except Passwords and Autofill (unless you are selling your PC or otherwise need to)
  6. Click the Clear browsing data button
  7. Close the Settings tab and restart Opera
  8. You’re all done!

Delete history in Internet Explorer (WIN8)

Sometimes you need to delete your browsing history, cookies and other data in Internet Explorer on your Windows 8 machine, I’ll show you how in this guide along with some important tips.

Clear history in Internet Explorer (WIN8.0)

  1. Click/tap the Internet Explorer tile
  2. Swipe in from right (tablet) or mouse-over bottom-right corner (desktop)
  3. Click/tap the Settings icon, then click/tap Internet Options
  4. Look for the Delete Browsing History heading, then click the Delete button
  5. Click/tap outside the settings area to return to Internet Explorer
  6. All done!

Clear history in Internet Explorer (WIN8.1)

  1. Click/tap the Internet Explorer tile
  2. Swipe in from right (tablet) or mouse-over bottom-right corner (desktop)
  3. Click/tap the Settings icon, then click/tap Options
  4. Look for the History heading, then click the Select button
  5. Select which data you want to delete using the check boxes (defaults recommended), then click the Delete button
  6. Click/tap outside the settings area to return to Internet Explorer
  7. All done!

Clear browsing history, cookies & data in Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Click on the Gear icon IE Tools icon top-right of your browser window
  3. Mouse-over the Saftey menu item, then click on the Delete browsing history… menu item
  4. I recommend leaving at default (all checked except Form data and Passwords) unless you’re selling your PC and need all data are removed
  5. Click the Delete button
  6. Restarting your browser is not necessary but I recommend you do
  7. All done!
