Facebook App Privacy Settings

One of the great things about Facebook are all the cool games and apps you can download however, it opens you up to privacy issues because a lot of apps try to get as much information and privileges as possible. You can fix this in two ways: Firstly, when you install the app, click on the Edit This link, then choose what information and privileges the app can have (apps will usually have certain data access requirements, you can’t edit these items if you want to install the app).

Click on the Edit This link when you are installing the Facebook App

Secondly, for apps you’ve already installed go to Settings Arrow ▼ top-right of your screen, then choose the Settings menu item, then on the navigation panel to your left, click on Apps. There you will find a list of all your apps currently installed, simply hover over and click on the pencil icon that appears just beside the app name, then choose the privacy and privileges you want the app to have.
